Overview

Sandeep Chowta uses an array of voices to vocalize his compositions ranging from the more heard to the experimental - from Asha Bhosle and Alisha Chinai to Sowmya Raoh and Sonu Kakkar. His creativity has fostered the talents of many youngsters as is evident from the success of Viva and Sunidhi Chauhan. Sandeep has just completed working on a collaborative album, American Pilgrimage, featuring jazz artistes such as John Scofield, Bunny Brunel, Dave Valentine, Eddie Daniels and Jay Oliver. Chowta and Jay Oliver have been collaborating for a while. Oliver has created the lounge version of Chowta's hit single Mallika I Hate You. Apart from Rahman, Sandeep looks up to composers SD Burman, Vishal and Madan Mohan.
